It seems to me that whenever things go wrong it’s always because I’m trying to do something I’m simply not equipped or trained to do.
My name’s Dan Savage and I started my company, Artstop Studios, in September 2005, designing and creating architectural glass for public spaces.
We were interviewed yesterday by mergermarket.com. I took Paul (our new team member) along to see how I perform in interviews (as a training exercise), but the interviewer decided to interview Paul too. As a writer and journalist he needs no media training, and he coped admirably!
Last week’s award was great to receive, and I must admit we have spent our Venturefest winnings already. But you’ll be glad to hear that the money has been invested wisely (partly going towards a new and long-overdue laptop for the business).

What a great week to start my blog! We’ve just been exhibitors at Venturefest 2007, where we were very lucky to have been given a free stand through York St John University.
A particular pricing strategy an organisation applies by charging a high price when initially entering a market to benefit from premium prices some customers are willing to pay for a new product.

Considering I wasn’t due to attend Venturefest 2007, it was pretty good day in the end! I won £1,000 and walked away with the Venturefest Innovation Central Award for the ‘most progressed innovation’ since last year. So my PR machine will be grinding that out, which is brilliant!
Of course you are! As every entrepreneur will know, you have good days and bad days in business.
