Feeling the Pinch

Fantastic news! We’ve just been notified that we have received two grants, one from Coalfield Regeneration and another from the CO-OP. These will help to secure our future for some time yet. Being an emerging social enterprise we are still somewhat reliant upon grants. This year it’s been very slim pickings, so to speak.

Living up to customers’ expectations

We are a few short weeks away from opening the farmshop, obviously it is an exciting time but also nerve racking. What will the public think when they walk through the doors? Will everything be ready in time, such as permission for directional signs to the site and an alcohol license? Will we have enough stock? Too much stock? I keep telling myself if we waited until everything was perfect we would never get open, improvements are a continual part of business.

Do the same old thing, get the same old results

In my last blog I talked about my (rather dramatic) decision to close down Freestyle so I can put all my effort into NLP. A ‘close-down’ actually sounds a bit more dramatic than it actually is; until the jobs that we currently have on come to an end, we’re still taking on work if it comes our way, although we’re not actually going out and looking for anything. There are a few leads I think we probably will take on because the clients are going to be fun to work with.
