Beneficial to know, a ‘boomsayer’ is a person who predicts boom times and good news.

The word was first attributed in 1983 to Greg Anrig Jr, who was known as The Boomsayer for his accurate inflation forecasts. (The word is a play on ‘doomsayer’, a term that entered the language in 1961, meaning one who predicts calamity at every opportunity.)
