Things I didn’t realise (part 2)
Keeping track of your finances is especially difficult when you start your own business.
Money seems to cause all sorts of problems - having enough of it, keeping track of it and knowing what to do with it when you get some! If you start your business without knowing how to handle your finances, you could waste a lot of valuable time, as well as having your pride bruised. Ouch! Stop this happening by having a backup plan, so you don’t end up being financially hurt as well. Believe me, it’s worth it!
Before this though, it is so important to draw up a realistic business plan. Think about how you will develop your business, how you will manage your money, what are you going to sell and who to? But most of all make sure you are honest and don’t fool yourself into thinking you are more prepared than you really are.
If you do this, I assure that you will feel confident and positive about your new business and excited about your next steps!
