What a difference 5 weeks can make!
Since my last post I have made the decision to close down Freestyle, my web solutions business. The reason for this is very simple; I find it really boring! I started the business because I had skills in that area, but now I just find it really unexciting.
However, now that Freestyle is winding down I have already started a new business with my sister called Satsuma NLP. If you haven’t heard of it before, NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. This provides training in healthy lifestyles, wellbeing, happiness, freedom, wealth, change & transformation. Quite a programme as you can imagine! Along with my sister, I recently trained as a master practitioner in NLP and my sister has also attended a course in the States for a month, learning how to be a trainer. So between us we’re pretty well qualified!
The next step for Satsuma NLP is running our first practitioner course, which is coming up in about three weeks. We also plan to run a free session at our offices to try and get people hooked and wanting to come and train with us.
I’m also moving forward with pure clubs, although we’re currently looking carefully at which direction we will go. We’re still at the prototyping stage, because we realised that since we started up the project and wrote the business plan, the market has changed significantly with so many more developments and routes that we could go down. We’ve now got about 4 or 5 prototypes setup and we’re in the process of going through, analyzing them and working out if they meet our criteria. If they don’t we look at what is missing and will it do for a beta version. There are so many different routes now and we’ve got to get it right so it’s worth taking some time over.
I am actually juggling three different companies at the moment and it’s tough finding the time to devote to all of them. Over the next few months I’ll wind down the last project with freestyle and then that will be done. The NLP training is a passion that I’m going to really enjoy doing alongside my Pure Clubs project and hopefully I’ll find it less boring!
